EncoreWorks (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates a platform that connects experienced professionals with companies seeking flexible engagements. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third parties:

• Account information — name, email, password, account type (professional or company), city, and country.
• Profile information — work history, skills, certifications, languages, motivations, CV uploads, preferred engagement terms.
• Role information (companies) — role descriptions, required skills, budget, screening criteria.
• Communications — messages exchanged between professionals and companies on the platform.
• Usage data — pages viewed, features used, device and browser metadata, IP address.
• Payment data — billing details handled by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers).

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including profile creation, matching, and search;
• Operate our matching engine — including running automated and machine-learning systems over your profile and role descriptions to surface relevant counterparties;
• Communicate with you about your account, matches, and platform updates;
• Process subscriptions, billing, and tax compliance;
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
• Comply with legal obligations.

We share information in the following ways:

• With counterparties you choose to engage — when a company invites you to a role or you apply to one, relevant profile information is shared with that counterparty.
• With service providers — hosting, database, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, and error monitoring vendors acting on our behalf.
• For legal reasons — to comply with applicable law, a lawful request, or to protect our rights or the safety of users.
• In a business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to affected users.

We do not sell your personal information.

We rely on the following categories of service providers to operate the Service:

• Authentication and database hosting;
• Application hosting and content delivery;
• Transactional email delivery;
• Payment processing;
• Error and performance monitoring;
• Large-language-model providers used by the matching and profile-building features.

Each provider is bound by contractual data-protection obligations.

We retain your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• Delete your account and associated personal information;
• Object to or restrict certain uses of your information;
• Receive a copy of your information in a portable format;
• Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, audit logging, and routine review — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security and you use the Service at your own risk.

We operate globally and may process your information in countries other than where you live. Where required by law, we put in place safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers of personal information.

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
